About This Role
- Own end-to-end manual and automated testing cycles including test design, execution, defect management, and regression testing on HP NonStop platform applications.
- Design and execute tests for software integrating multiple languages (COBOL, SCOBOL, TAL, C) and messaging flows (MQ), validating data using SQL and testing APIs and web services.
- Manage test cases and defects using Zephyr Scale and Jira, participate in Agile or hybrid delivery models, and support CI/CD pipelines with automation (Playwright preferred).
Minimum Requirements
- Proven QA/Test Engineer experience with strong manual testing skills including test design, execution, and defect management.
- Experience testing applications on HP NonStop (Tandem) systems and familiarity with software built in COBOL, SCOBOL, TAL, C, TACL, and Enform for test design.
- Working knowledge of SQL/MP, SQLCI, and SQL Server Management Studio; hands-on test automation experience preferably using Playwright or similar tools.
- Background in financial services, securities, or payments applications; familiarity with MQ-based messaging, API testing (REST/WebApi), and experience using Jira and Zephyr Scale.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced QA professionals with direct exposure to HP NonStop platform testing and multi-language legacy application environments.
- Candidates comfortable with both manual testing and integrating automated web UI test cases within CI/CD pipelines using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong analytical skillset capable of designing effective tests from code reading (non-developer level) and working in financial services context with Agile or hybrid methodologies.
