About This Role
- Own the architecture and roadmap of FairMoney's cloud data warehouse, ensuring reliability, freshness, and efficiency of business-critical datasets.
- Lead and grow a data engineering team responsible for standards in data modelling, testing, automation, and incident response across distributed pipelines.
- Partner with business, product, risk, and finance teams to translate requirements into reliable data products meeting regulatory and governance standards, including readiness for AI use cases.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering with at least 3 years managing engineers.
- Expertise in SQL and strong Python skills.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, including dbt and workflow orchestrators such as Airflow.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services with end-to-end ownership of datasets including SLAs for freshness and accuracy.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven leader with experience hiring and managing data engineering teams, able to enforce high standards and drive automation.
- Strong technical architect comfortable with designing scalable data platforms and modern ingestion methods (e.g., CDC, streaming).
- Strategic partner skilled in stakeholder management, able to balance technical constraints with business needs and uphold financial regulatory and governance requirements.
