About This Role
- Own the vision, roadmap, and strategy for Equinix's API Gateway and Integration Platforms including Apigee and Boomi.
- Lead platform modernization initiatives focusing on API-first, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures to support enterprise digital transformation.
- Drive operational excellence by managing platform reliability, security, compliance, and production support through SRE best practices and monitoring tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software, integration, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture.
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in enterprise API Gateway platforms (Apigee, Kong, NGINX, MuleSoft, Azure API Management) and integration platforms (Boomi, Workato).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and platform engineering practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in driving enterprise-wide API management and integration standards with a strategic focus on API-first and event-driven architectures.
- Proven ability to lead platform engineering and modernization at scale, integrating multi-cloud environments and ensuring compliance (e.g., SOX).
- Skilled in vendor management, budgeting, and building high-performing teams aligned with business and technology priorities.
