- Advance virtual cell modelling to predict cellular state and response, supporting in silico screening and experimental prioritization.
- Support target identification by combining model outputs with biological knowledge to rank candidates and communicate evidence and limitations to multidisciplinary teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Physics, Statistics, or closely related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience applying machine learning in industry or academia with end-to-end project delivery and contributing to research or technical direction.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Experience handling large, noisy, or heterogeneous scientific and biomedical datasets; strong grounding in machine learning model validation and experimental design.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with single-cell biology, perturbation data, and virtual cell or foundation models.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment combining biology, chemistry, computational science, and engineering.
- Capable of translating ambiguous scientific questions into rigorous computational problems with clear experimental recommendations.
