About This Role
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, distributed AI and data platforms to support Walmart's data science community globally.
- Ensure platform reliability, optimize performance, and implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting for mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions, provide production support, and guide junior engineers while maintaining end-to-end ownership of deliverables.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 9+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework, including REST APIs and dependency injection.
- Experience with cloud providers (Azure & GCP), containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes), and distributed systems.

- Experienced staff-level or senior engineer with a focus on building high-performance, resilient distributed systems and AI platform solutions.
- Capable of driving product stability and scalability to support thousands of developers and global teams.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and with governance/security requirements on AI/ML platforms.
