About This Role
- Manage a Systems Operations team monitoring installed systems and infrastructure, including allocation of people and financial resources.
- Make decisions on operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives and improve system efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, develop policies, ensure compliance, and mentor direct reports including hiring activities.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience or equivalent.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Monitoring, IAM, networking, and cost optimization.
- Experience with observability and operations tools like Google Cloud Operations Suite, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, or ServiceNow.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with SRE concepts including SLI/SLOs, error budgets, reliability engineering, and capacity planning.
- Experience reducing operational toil via infrastructure as code, automated remediation, runbook automation, and CI/CD.
- Practical experience applying AI/ML technologies such as generative AI or AIOps for incident management and operational decision support.
