About This Role
- Manage and maintain multiple cloud and on-premise databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) across AWS RDS/Aurora, OCI, and VMs.
- Ensure database performance tuning, backups, patching, and user/session management for large-scale databases (15+ TB).
- Collaborate on projects, develop SOPs, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to minimize customer outages and support development teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years experience as a DBA on Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle databases.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours including after-hours and weekends; participation in on-call rotation required.
- Experience working with cloud vendors AWS, OCI, Azure (implied by role responsibilities).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced working across multiple database platforms and cloud environments with exposure to large-scale databases.
- Comfortable handling operational responsibilities including performance tuning, backups, patch management, and user management in a 24x7 support role.
- Capable of collaborating across teams to create standards, documentation, and leverage AI tools for database problem-solving and innovation.
