About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and data-processing components using Python.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions primarily with Sybase and MariaDB.
- Investigate production issues using application logs, database analysis, and Unix troubleshooting, and support releases across environments.
Minimum Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of relevant backend software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Unix, Git, and relational databases including Sybase and MariaDB.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices preferred but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in backend systems development with strong database query optimization skills in Sybase and MariaDB environments.
- Practiced in Unix scripting and troubleshooting production issues using logs and database analysis.
- Comfortable collaborating in Agile teams and managing code through Git and legacy SVN repositories.
