About This Role
- Act as primary on-site operational owner for launching and ramping up Vultr's new Chennai data center, ensuring infrastructure readiness and service reliability.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute deployment activities including installation and configuration of server and network infrastructure.
- Identify operational risks and gaps, develop mitigation plans, and manage vendor and facility coordination and escalation to maintain launch timelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience supporting data center infrastructure with responsibility beyond task execution.
- Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, network equipment, power, cooling, cross-connects, and infrastructure environment analysis.
- Experience coordinating vendors, facility providers, and cross-functional technical teams, and ability to operate independently with judgment within defined authority.
- Work Experience Required: 5+ years in data center infrastructure support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing operational readiness and infrastructure deployment in data center environments, preferably with cloud, colocation, or hybrid exposure.
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle complex operational decision-making under minimal supervision during new facility launches.
- Skilled at cross-functional coordination and documentation, with familiarity in handling vendor relationships, risk management, and escalation procedures.
