About This Role
- Own the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for a high-throughput, multi-consumer payments platform with active-active, low-latency architecture across multiple geographies.
- Lead multiple globally distributed engineering teams to design, build, and operate resilient cloud-native systems leveraging AI-accelerated development practices and automation testing enabling daily production deployments.
- Partner with risk, compliance, and other stakeholders to embed security, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance within platform operations while reporting progress to senior management.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years software engineering and technology leadership experience; minimum 10 years leading enterprise-grade high-traffic applications.
- 8+ years leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple geographies and regulatory contexts.
- Technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, gRPC, Apache Kafka or equivalent, containerized cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift), and databases (Oracle, MongoDB).
- Experience designing and operating highly available multi-region distributed systems with active-active topologies, data residency controls, disaster recovery, and CI/CD automation testing practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in payments technology or financial services with knowledge of payment types like real-time, high-value, or cross-border transactions and regulatory data residency/sovereignty requirements.
- Strong ability to align technology roadmaps with enterprise priorities and influence across complex, matrixed organizations.
- Proven track record of scaling and retaining top engineering talent while driving high-quality, AI-accelerated continuous delivery in Agile or SAFe environments.
