About This Role
- Develop, test, and deploy scalable backend microservices for Channel Security platform using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka.
- Collaborate with the Lead Engineer on solution design, code reviews, and operational health including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Work closely with DevOps to ensure service observability, deployability, and meet performance and reliability requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- 9-14 years of software engineering experience focused on backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), in-memory data stores (Redis), and cloud-native environments (GCP preferred).
- Work Experience Required: 9-14 years in software engineering
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building robust, scalable backend systems with end-to-end ownership including development and operational support.
- Familiar with modern development tools/practices such as CI/CD, Git, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding assistants and tools to improve productivity and engineer solutions with ethical considerations.
