About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic on mainframe systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Refactor legacy code to enable integration and migration to modern cloud and mobile applications.
- Monitor and optimize mainframe architecture to prevent performance decay and improve efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Proficient coding skills in Java, Python, .Net or similar, with debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, XML/JSON, REST-based web services, and architecture design including Microservices, containers (Docker & Kubernetes), and messaging queues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred; certifications in major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred but can be obtained post-hire.

- Experienced in software development methodologies for scalable and robust applications with deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.
- Skilled at bridging legacy mainframe systems with modern cloud-based solutions, showing strategic modernization experience.
- Comfortable in a hybrid work environment leveraging DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
