Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Develop and refine a real estate ontology based on MRI's Common Data Model covering entities and relationships across leasing, property operations, assets, investments, and facilities.
- Build, validate, and prototype high-value data science models (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, entity resolution) grounded in the ontology using real product data from MRI's portfolio.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transition validated prototypes into production platforms while improving data quality and consistency via defined semantic metrics.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or related quantitative field from a Premier Institute.
- 3-5 years of applied data science experience.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with modern data stack tools like Spark, Snowflake or Databricks, and dbt or similar.
- Hands-on experience with at least one: knowledge graphs, ontologies or semantic modeling, entity resolution, or large language model (LLM)-based applications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, optimization, and machine learning with sound judgment on model complexity.
- Experience working on research-to-product projects involving ontology or semantic models in real estate, proptech, finance, or asset-heavy domains is a plus.
- Capable of driving collaboration with product, engineering, and domain experts to deliver scalable AI and ML solutions informed by domain-specific data models.
