About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance video streaming and processing services including video pipelines and content delivery systems.
- Define and implement performance metrics to monitor streaming quality and system reliability, and participate in technical architecture and design reviews.
- Maintain and improve production infrastructure ensuring high availability and resilience, and explore emerging technologies for system improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience with proficiency in programming languages like Node.js, Python, Rust, C, or C++.
- Strong understanding of video streaming protocols (RTMP, RTSP, RTP, HLS, WebRTC, DASH) and video/audio codecs (AAC, Opus, H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9, AV1).
- Experience with REST API design and development, relational and NoSQL databases, AWS, Linux, Docker, and continuous deployment.
- Familiarity with multimedia processing libraries/frameworks such as FFmpeg, GStreamer, libvpx, x264, or x265 is preferred; work experience required for this role.
