About This Role
- Own architecture and engineering standards for TypeScript and Node.js or Python systems across multiple teams, defining technical roadmap and operational frameworks.
- Lead by example in coding, test-driven development, AI-first practices, performance profiling, and handle the most challenging technical problems and production incidents.
- Set, certify, and enforce engineering standards for API design, data architecture, reliability, security, observability, and testing; lead large-scale migrations and platform engineering decisions involving AWS Lambda and Kubernetes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; B.Tech or B.E. in related fields preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 11 years professional software development experience with TypeScript and Node.js or Python; includes 5 years architecture experience across multiple systems and 3 years owning engineering standards adopted beyond own team.
- Expertise in backend programming with TypeScript/Node.js or Python and practiced in the other; experience with cloud platforms AWS or GCP, infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and mentoring senior engineers; strong understanding of REST API design, data modeling (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB), asynchronous systems, security standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC), and AI/LLM integration.

- Senior technical leader with strong full-stack expertise, particularly backend-heavy, comfortable operating hands-on while influencing cross-team engineering standards and roadmaps.
- Experienced in architecting large-scale, multi-service systems with advanced knowledge in API design, data architecture, reliability, security, and cloud infrastructure choices.
- Proven track record mentoring senior engineers into leaders, shaping hiring standards, driving organizational technical change, and collaborating across global, distributed teams.
