About This Role
- Own architecture and engineering standards for TypeScript and Node.js or Python systems across multiple teams, setting and publishing style guides and reference architectures.
- Stay hands-on with coding, lead toughest technical problems, and drive large-scale changes such as migrations and framework upgrades across codebases.
- Lead incident responses, define AI-first engineering practices, collaborate globally to align technical plans with business goals, and set hiring standards for full-stack engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 11 years professional software development experience in TypeScript and Node.js or Python, including 5 years architecture experience and 3 years owning engineering standards and mentoring senior engineers.
- Proven experience with AWS or GCP production services deployment, REST API design, database schema design (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB), and modern engineering practices including CI/CD and test-driven development.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams with cross-regional engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Expertise in backend-heavy full-stack engineering with strong command of TypeScript/Node.js and Python, plus proficiency in frontend React conventions.
- Proven track record in technical leadership across multiple teams, with ability to set, enforce and evolve engineering standards and roadmaps.
- Experience with AI-first engineering and large language models integration, cloud platform trade-offs, security standards, and driving organization-wide technical changes.
