About This Role
- Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications using COBOL on IBM Mainframe (z/OS) systems.
- Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, deployment, and troubleshoot production issues in mainframe applications involving JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
- Analyze business requirements, provide technical estimates, conduct impact analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Support.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in COBOL development and mainframe technologies (JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM) on IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in application maintenance, enhancement, and production support in a mainframe environment.
- Work Experience Required: 4-6 years
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in production support and development within IBM Mainframe environments with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and ability to handle technical documentation and coding standards adherence.
- Understanding of Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domain and exposure to source control tools like Endevor or Changeman, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
