About This Role
- Lead and grow multiple engineering pods delivering cloud-native Data Platform services on AWS and Kubernetes, focusing on scalable, secure, and reliable Data and AI/ML services for mission-critical P&C insurance workloads.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership by solving complex architectural and implementation challenges, enabling teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, secure designs without becoming a bottleneck.
- Drive product outcomes through cross-functional collaboration, performance management, and identifying data monetization opportunities to turn platform capabilities into revenue-generating products.
Minimum Requirements
- 16+ years in software engineering with 4+ years managing managers or multi-pod teams building cloud/data platforms.
- Proven delivery and production ownership of enterprise-scale, cloud-native data platform services, including hands-on experience with Gen AI solutions (e.g., LLM-based features, MCP servers, RAG workflows).
- Experience managing teams of approximately 15+ engineers with accountability for technical direction, architecture, execution, reliability, and scalability of Data/AI platform engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical influence and stakeholder management; location: Bengaluru, India (implied).

- Extensive experience leading large-scale Data/AI platform engineering teams with a balance of people management and active technical engagement.
- Strong product orientation with ability to translate customer use cases into clear requirements and measurable outcomes, emphasizing iterative delivery and data monetization.
- Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams through technical complexity, continuous improvement, and ambiguity in a highly regulated insurance domain context (insurance domain experience is a plus).
