About This Role
- Lead performance engineering initiatives including strategy, benchmarking, and capacity planning for cloud-based distributed systems.
- Design, build, and maintain automated performance testing frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks across APIs, databases, and microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement optimizations and mentor junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in performance testing, scalability, or reliability engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as k6, Gatling, or Locust.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java, with experience in Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Experience integrating automated performance tests into CI/CD pipelines, developing realistic workload models, and using observability tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

- Experienced in handling large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture focusing on performance, concurrency, and caching challenges.
- Demonstrates technical ownership with ability to lead performance standards enforcement and mentor junior engineers.
- Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced, globally distributed engineering environment with cross-functional collaboration.
