About This Role
- Own and manage the complete India entity accounting operations including GL system, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting to meet global deadlines.
- Manage India statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Professional Tax), fixed asset accounting, and coordinate the statutory audit process with outsourced firms and external auditors.
- Lead relationship with outsourced accounting firm, develop accounting policies, identify process improvements and automation, and support growth of local accounting team.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of Indian statutory and tax compliance (GST, TDS, Professional Tax, PF/ESI).
- Experience managing outsourced accounting providers and working with US-based multinational distributed teams.
- Professional qualification preferred: CA (ICAI), ACCA, or CPA.
- Work Experience Required: 7+ years
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in Indian Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP including reconciling statutory books to GAAP financials.
- Comfortable with accounting automation tools and AI-assisted workflows (e.g. Claude, Google Apps Script).
- Proven operational accounting leadership within multinational organizations managing compliance, audits, and complex multi-currency accounts.
