About This Role
- Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and Generative AI solutions using AWS cloud services and modern AI frameworks to support Alcon R&D innovation.
- Develop AI applications including Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, intelligent document processing, and secure, scalable APIs/microservices.
- Lead technical solution design, architecture reviews, prototyping, production deployment, and implement MLOps/GenAIOps with CI/CD, testing, and governance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years experience in software, cloud, data, or AI engineering with hands-on delivery of production-grade solutions.
- Strong hands-on AWS expertise (including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, Step Functions).
- Proficiency in Python, REST API/microservices development (FastAPI/Flask), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in end-to-end AI solution ownership from discovery through deployment in complex regulated environments like MedTech or healthcare.
- Strong technical depth in AI coding, AWS architecture, and production engineering with emphasis on scalability, security, and measurable impact.
- Able to collaborate closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Medical stakeholders to translate business needs into practical AI solutions.
