About This Role
- Build, deploy, and operate backend microservices powering real-time personalized content recommendations at scale for FOX digital products.
- Own end-to-end system design, implementation, deployment, and production operations of backend systems including recommendation engines and model serving pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models and optimize distributed systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience building backend software systems in production.
- Strong backend programming skills, preferably in Golang.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems, relational databases (PostgreSQL/Aurora), caching systems (Redis/ElastiCache), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB), and AWS cloud environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems for real-time personalization or recommendation platforms.
- Skilled at working independently with end-to-end ownership of backend infrastructure in production environments.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of backend engineering and ML model integration, collaborating with ML engineers and data scientists.
