About This Role
- Design, implement, and maintain video streaming and video processing services supporting new and existing product features.
- Write and test development code and lead design reviews to select technologies and ensure code quality.
- Design metrics to measure streaming experience and system performance; ensure production infrastructure redundancy and resilience.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of work experience required.
- Expertise in at least one general-purpose programming language like Node.js, Python, Rust, or C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with REST API development and strong knowledge of multiple streaming protocols (RTMP, RTSP, RTP, HLS, WebRTC, DASH) and codecs (AAC, Opus, H264, H265, VP8, VP9, AV1).
- Proficiency in database design (relational and NoSQL) and familiarity with AWS, Linux, Docker, and continuous deployment workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and maintaining video streaming architectures with deep knowledge of multimedia libraries (FFmpeg, GStreamer, libvpx, x264/x265) and video pipelines, ideally with AI inference for computer vision.
- Operates with a customer-centric, results-driven approach and able to lead technical design decisions and code reviews.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with cross-functional teams in a remote or hybrid setup.
