About This Role
- Collect and classify global security-related events focusing on terrorism, crime, and geopolitics in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Conduct extensive open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to gather structured data and summarize key events with accurate attribute capture.
- Perform in-depth quality checks on automated data to ensure correct classification and geocoding, collaborating with subject matter experts to maintain data accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in open source research and intelligence analysis, specifically in geopolitical or national security domains.
- Comprehensive understanding of geopolitical dynamics in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
- Proficiency in OSINT collection and data synthesis from open sources.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic or French is an added advantage.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in handling complex geopolitical and risk assessment projects under tight deadlines with a data analysis mindset.
- Skilled in synthesizing large volumes of data into actionable intelligence and comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of intelligence output.
