About This Role
- Design, build, and operate distributed platform services and APIs using Java, Python, and Kubernetes or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
- Own platform reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response; set engineering standards via architecture and code reviews.
- Provide technical leadership as a Staff engineer: guide system design, mentor engineers, influence platform engineering practices, and integrate AI/agentic capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating large-scale distributed platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python; experience with Kubernetes or equivalent cloud-native orchestration required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, Spark-based data pipelines; operational excellence practices including SLO/SLA ownership and incident management.

- Experienced in cloud-native engineering with strong system design and domain-driven design skills applied to complex distributed platforms.
- Comfortable working in a 0-to-1 environment with high autonomy, translating ambiguous problems into clear technical solutions.
- Hands-on practitioner of operational excellence and engineering excellence with deep knowledge of reliability, security, AI integrations, and full data engineering lifecycle.
