About This Role
- Lead design, development, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, high-quality software applications in Python, Spark, and GCP.
- Drive and mentor a technical team, enforcing Big Data design patterns and best practices including Continuous Integration in an Agile environment.
- Participate actively in sprint ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet sprint objectives and deliverable quality.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of solution design and development experience in PySpark and GCP technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, Cloud SQL, Cloud development, APIs (SOAP, REST), and microservices.
- Experience with DevOps tools including OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker, GIT, TeamCity, Maven, SONAR, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Work Experience Required: At least 5 years in relevant technologies and Agile environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Technically proficient leader capable of independently guiding a development team and mentoring junior resources.
- Experienced in applying Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and continuous integration/deployment best practices within financial services or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with software design patterns, UML design, and development of cloud-native applications on GCP with strong Big Data and DevOps expertise.
