About This Role
- Design, build, operate, and own scalable distributed platform services and APIs using Java/Python on Kubernetes or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
- Lead architecture and system design decisions across microservices and enterprise integrations while ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and observability with SLOs and incident response ownership.
- Mentor engineers, set technical standards, and integrate AI/GenAI capabilities within platform services, collaborating closely with data engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating large-scale distributed platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python; experience with Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration, Spark, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Operational Excellence mindset with proven SLO/SLA ownership, incident management, and reliability practices; experience with AI/GenAI integration and data engineering technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and owning cloud-native distributed platform architectures with strong operational and engineering excellence discipline.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a 0-to-1 environment with strong technical judgment and ability to translate ambiguous problems into executable solutions.
- Expert in integrating AI/GenAI/agentic workflows and collaborating cross-functionally with data science and ML teams to build advanced platform capabilities.
