About This Role
- Lead modernization of legacy SQL Server databases by refactoring complex stored procedures, optimizing queries, and implementing event-driven data access patterns.
- Build and maintain AI-native data infrastructure including embedding pipelines, vector databases, and retrieval systems to support RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) applications.
- Develop and automate data platform engineering tasks including ETL/ELT pipelines, NoSQL data modeling, infrastructure-as-code provisioning, and AI-powered database tooling using Python, T-SQL, and cloud data services.
Minimum Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in database engineering or data platform roles with strong SQL Server expertise.
- Proficiency in T-SQL development including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and execution plan analysis.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and programming in Python or C# for tooling and automation.
- Familiarity with vector databases and AI-related concepts such as embeddings, RAG, AI coding assistants, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
