About This Role
- Design, develop, deploy, and support AI-powered applications and end-to-end AI solutions to improve manufacturing operations across Micron's global fabs and assembly/test sites.
- Develop responsive front-end applications with Python/FastAPI backends and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Integrate AI/ML models including LLMs and agentic AI, robotics platforms, automation systems, and support CI/CD pipelines for scalable, responsible AI-driven manufacturing workflows.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web or AI applications end to end.
- Strong programming skills in Python and modern Angular/TypeScript; experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Working knowledge of GenAI technologies, machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), and strong data architecture and SQL skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience applying AI/ML in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial automation, or smart manufacturing environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build full-stack AI applications including front-end, back-end APIs, and containerized deployments.
- Skilled in integrating advanced AI capabilities such as LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agentic AI, with operational technology systems like MES and Industrial IoT.
