About This Role
- Lead technical discovery and design of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure) for large-scale sports, media, and entertainment platforms.
- Own architecture decisions across microservices, APIs, data pipelines, event-driven systems, and third-party integrations, ensuring alignment with business goals and quality standards.
- Guide engineering teams from design through implementation, drive non-functional excellence (performance, availability, security), and evaluate emerging technologies like GenAI/LLM for business value.
Minimum Requirements
- 12-15 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in solutions architect, technical architect, or tech lead roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in backend stacks (Java/Kotlin, Go, Node.js, or Python) plus sound knowledge of frontend and mobile architectures.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or similar).
- Experience designing distributed, high-traffic systems including microservices, caching, CDNs, queues/streams (Kafka, SQS/PubSub), and SQL/NoSQL databases.

- Experienced in translating complex business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions and capable of producing credible estimates and proposals.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and multiple clients/priorities across time zones, with strong communication skills for C-level and engineering audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive architecture standards, mentor engineers and tech leads, and contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership activities.
