About This Role
- Engineer, operate, and improve IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka platform services across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop secure, scalable, reusable platform capabilities and define reusable messaging and event-streaming patterns including retries, dead-letter handling, and recovery.
- Lead platform lifecycle activities including deployment, monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and partner with multiple teams to enable reliable event-driven workflows and integration.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years experience in software, integration, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- 4+ years recent experience designing, implementing, or operating IBM MQ in production.
- 1+ years experience implementing or operating Apache Kafka (preferably Confluent Kafka).
- Experience with Linux/Unix and cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, AWS); multi-cloud experience strongly preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in operating highly available, business-critical messaging/event-streaming platforms supporting enterprise APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Capable of applying Domain-Driven Design principles to integration and platform design with strong production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-regional teams (North America and India) and lead platform reliability, security, and scalability improvements.
