About This Role
- Design, build, and scale backend services for international Order Management and Fulfillment Systems covering markets like Mexico and Canada.
- Lead technical design and architecture of large-scale, multi-market distributed systems handling millions of orders daily, including event-driven microservices using Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, and NoSQL.
- Drive platform convergence, partner with cross-functional teams including data science, mentor engineers, and contribute to operational excellence of mission-critical ecommerce systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend focus.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem; experience with NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
- Experience building/operating large-scale distributed microservices and multi-market/multi-tenant platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field with 4 years experience, OR 6 years experience in software engineering; Master's degree with 2 years experience preferred.

- Experienced leader in large-scale backend engineering with exposure to multi-market international systems and compliance localization.
- Proficient in cloud-native development (Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability tooling for high availability systems.
- Skilled at driving technical strategy, platform convergence, and mentoring within cross-functional, globally distributed engineering teams.
