Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Design, develop, and deploy perception algorithms for autonomous and semi-autonomous construction machines, including object detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, localization, mapping, and obstacle assessment.
- Build and optimize multi-sensor processing pipelines (camera, LiDAR, radar, GNSS, IMU) with calibration, synchronization, sensor fusion, and real-time performance optimization on embedded CPU/GPU platforms.
- Create production-quality C++ and Python software, develop evaluation workflows and test tools, and collaborate cross-functionally for integrated machine capabilities and safety compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in modern C++ and Python with Linux development experience.
- Experience with perception algorithms including detection, segmentation, classification, tracking, localization, mapping, or sensor fusion.
- Work Experience Required: Not explicitly mentioned in the JD.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with deploying perception models on embedded or edge platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, DRIVE) and proficient in CUDA, TensorRT, profiling, and real-time optimization.
- Familiar with sensor characteristics, calibration, coordinate systems for camera, LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and IMU, and practical robotic perception applications.
- Capable of implementing and validating advanced perception algorithms integrating computer vision, deep learning, 3D geometry, point-cloud processing, and associated software engineering best practices.
