About This Role
- Lead the design system strategy and architecture across multiple PhonePe products and platforms (Android, iOS, web).
- Own design system governance, quality standards, adoption, and evolution to balance shared foundations and product-specific flexibility.
- Manage and grow the design systems team while partnering closely with engineering and design leaders to align design system and production implementation.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product design with significant experience building, scaling, or leading mature design systems.
- Technical fluency in component architecture, tokens, APIs, versioning, and translating design into code.
- Experience working across multiple platforms (Android, iOS, web) including mobile-first and responsive design.
- Work Experience Required: 6+ years in product design with design systems focus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has strong systems thinking balancing standardization and flexibility for multi-product ecosystems.
- Experienced in managing design system adoption, usability, and cross-team contribution models without direct authority.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring designers and influencing cross-functional teams in a fintech or large-scale consumer technology environment.
