About This Role
- Own and lead backend and infrastructure architecture decisions, standards, and documentation, primarily using Python, PHP, and GCP.
- Design, build, maintain backend services and APIs including authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML) and headless integrations with CMS platforms like Contentful.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on security, performance, and incident response.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as a senior backend developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and PHP for backend development.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform), and backend API design including REST and GraphQL.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Able to autonomously own technical areas, making informed decisions and prioritizing effectively across design, deployment, and monitoring phases.
- Experienced in complex authentication/SSO implementations with enterprise identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID.
- Comfortable collaborating with frontend teams on headless architectures and client-facing communication including technical scoping and mentorship.
