About This Role
- Identify and evaluate deeptech opportunities from IIT Madras and partner universities for commercial viability at ZEISS.
- Build and manage innovation partnerships between academia, startups, and ZEISS departments globally, acting as the key contact for the Innovation Hub Chennai.
- Drive development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts, manage projects and partners to transfer technologies into ZEISS business units.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in STEM field, with MBA, PhD, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-4 years in consulting, innovation management, or venturing post-academic education; 8-10 years total work experience.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and external teams.
- Role is onsite at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai; local candidates preferred.

- Experienced in managing deeptech innovation projects bridging academic research and commercial business units.
- Skilled in strategic evaluation of innovations with strong analytical and communication capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial environment with international collaboration.
