About This Role
- Develop interactive, data-accurate frontend features including visualizations and controls with full state management for an existing enterprise legal tech platform.
- Build and extend Ruby on Rails APIs and collaborate on interface design to ensure precise functionality and performance without disrupting workflows.
- Implement accessibility, cross-browser consistency, asynchronous loading, behavior testing, and feature usage instrumentation to maintain high product quality.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years in production web application development with significant frontend and backend experience.
- Strong backend skills in Ruby on Rails for API, data model, and service building, not just API consumption.
- Strong proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue) with deep JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge including rendering and state management.
- Experience with data-dense interfaces (charts, tables, dashboards) where presentation accuracy is critical.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in maintaining and extending large existing codebases following conventions and avoiding regressions.
- Attentive to edge cases, error and empty states with automation in testing (RSpec and frontend testing frameworks).
- Collaborates closely with design and product teams, clarifying requirements before development, and effectively uses AI coding tools with sound judgment.
