About This Role
- Design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise APIs and API proxies using Google Apigee including security, traffic management, and lifecycle activities.
- Develop scalable and maintainable Python backend services and RESTful APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Leverage AI-powered coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to assist coding, testing, debugging, and integrate AI-assisted workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
Minimum Requirements
- 7.5+ years of experience with strong hands-on expertise in Google Apigee API development and management.
- Strong Python programming skills including application development, debugging, testing, and optimization.
- Experience implementing API security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and access control.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with API traffic management features like rate limiting, quotas, caching, and fault handling on Apigee platform.
- Proficient in integrating AI-powered coding agents into enterprise development processes while ensuring security and governance.
- Skilled at troubleshooting complex multi-layered API and backend integration issues and implementing automated testing & CI/CD best practices.
