About This Role
- Lead and manage a team of AML/TMS investigators including daily work allocation, queue prioritization, productivity tracking, and operational support.
- Oversee end-to-end transaction monitoring alert reviews, including customer profiling, red-flag identification, investigations, and escalation decisions for suspicious activities.
- Prepare and publish daily/weekly MIS reports on volumes, productivity, SLA/TAT, quality, escalations and key risk themes; act as first point of contact for operational escalations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years overall experience in AML, Financial Crime Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, KYC/CDD/EDD, fraud risk, payments, banking operations, fintech, crypto compliance, or BFSI/BPO financial crime operations.
- Experience currently in a Team Lead role or equivalent with on-ground team management including daily production, queue management, SLA/TAT adherence, quality and attendance oversight.
- Strong hands-on experience with Transaction Monitoring Systems (TMS) including alert review, risk assessment, investigation documentation, and escalation processes.
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT concepts, red-flag typologies, sanctions screening, PEP/high-risk customer reviews, source of funds/wealth, and regulatory expectations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader comfortable managing operational teams with ownership of production, quality, and performance metrics in an AML/TMS environment.
- Deep functional expertise in transaction monitoring with capability to support complex investigations and escalation preparation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for preparing MIS reports and liaising between analysts, supervisors, QA, training, and client stakeholders.
