About This Role
- Own quality validation of Cisco IOS XR routing platform infrastructure, optics, and Layer 0/1 capabilities including test strategy design and automation development.
- Lead complex technical investigations, develop production-quality test automation primarily using Python, and provide data-driven release readiness recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers, improve test frameworks, and responsibly apply AI-assisted tools across test generation, automation, and defect triage workflows.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, network product testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field.
- Advanced Python programming skills; strong Linux/Unix skills; experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
- Experience with Cisco IOS XR or similar carrier-grade network OS, and practical knowledge of cloud/containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, OpenStack.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced individual contributor capable of independently owning significant routing or BNG feature areas and influencing test strategies.
- Strong background in automation-first engineering with emphasis on system, scale, performance, resiliency, and high-availability testing in carrier-grade environments.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and strong understanding of network programmability, telemetry, and Layer 0/1 optical testing.
