About This Role
- Design, develop, and deliver new features for the Dapr runtime, ensuring reliable distributed system execution across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Review and maintain high code quality and reliability by assessing internal and community contributions, supporting releases, and resolving complex system issues.
- Lead and grow the engineering team in India, including recruitment, local leadership, establishing engineering culture, and community representation.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Go programming experience with production code.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems with strong understanding of failure scenarios and resilience.
- At least 2 years working with Kubernetes and containers.
- Strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, networking, data consistency) and excellent English communication skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in open-source development with ability to mentor contributors and manage code reviews.
- Skilled at working with distributed, international teams across multiple time zones.
- Previous exposure to CNCF projects, durable workflow platforms, gRPC/Protobuf, or multiple programming languages supported by Dapr SDKs is advantageous.
