About This Role
- Own the architecture and delivery of Network Observability’s data ingestion, processing, and storage layers to provide reliable, correlated, and enriched network telemetry data.
- Lead feature development by breaking down large, ambiguous problems into phased incremental deliveries with clear MVPs and measurable success metrics.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and AI teams to prioritize operational impact, set technical direction, and maintain high engineering standards including on-call responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years software engineering experience with large-scale data pipelines, streaming platforms, or telemetry systems.
- Hands-on experience with major streaming platforms (Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, RabbitMQ) and stream processing frameworks (Apache Flink or equivalent) plus batch processing (Apache Spark).
- Strong knowledge of network observability data and protocols (SNMP, gNMI, syslog, flow), and experience with telemetry storage systems (ClickHouse, Druid, Prometheus/Thanos, ELK).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and operating scalable, production-grade network telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines with a use-case driven delivery approach.
- Comfortable leading cross-functional collaboration with product, network, NOC, and AI teams to deliver trustworthy, enriched network data for APIs, dashboards, and AI agents.
- Proficient in Java/Springboot or Python programming with practical use of AI-assisted coding tools and familiarity with MCP or structured AI agent interfaces.
