Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own and deliver one or more fault-management modules end-to-end, including low-level design, implementation, and production support.
- Build and maintain near-real-time event-driven streaming pipelines and batch jobs using Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Apache Spark to meet latency, throughput, and fault tolerance SLAs.
- Serve as primary escalation point for critical production incidents in your module, writing runbooks and post-mortems to ensure operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on backend or data engineering experience.
- Proficient in Java 11+ and Spring Boot 3.x with experience in REST, security, and reactive patterns.
- Strong experience with production Kafka systems including Kafka Streams DSL, Processor API, Kafka Connect, and Apache Spark for large-scale streaming and batch jobs.
- Deep debugging skills across multi-threaded, distributed JVM systems and ability to produce LLD/HLD documentation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience delivering production-grade fault-management or AIOps platform features with measurable impact on reliability and automation.
- Comfortable making trade-offs between velocity and reliability within module ownership and technical decision-making context.
- Skilled in integrating AI/ML-powered anomaly detection and root cause analysis into streaming fault pipelines and services.
