About This Role
- Design, develop, and test custom IDE rules and local automation scripts to enforce security best practices and enable developer self-assessment.
- Integrate and document best practices for GitHub Advanced Security features like CodeQL queries and Dependabot to optimize code scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure security tools provide a frictionless developer experience with minimal false positives and create clear documentation for engineering teams to adopt these tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech / B.E.) degree required.
- Strong experience with modern IDEs (e.g., VS Code, Cursor) and their configuration files and extensions.
- Practical experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Dependabot), scripting (Python, Bash/Shell), and AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developer tooling and integrating security seamlessly into developer workflows to minimize noise and false positives.
- Hands-on with AI-assisted coding tools and capable of implementing AI-driven efficiencies across development lifecycles.
- Skilled in creating lightweight, efficient automation scripts for local and pipeline security reviews within agile or fast-paced environments.
