About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain backend platform services handling event processing, case tracking, and agent workflows with correctness and observability guarantees.
- Build, evolve, and evaluate AI agents and tools following business SOPs, including human-in-the-loop approval flows and measurement of model-driven features.
- Own production services including on-call support, mentor other engineers, and collaborate cross-team to deliver new automation use cases with safety and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-7 years professional software engineering experience, mostly backend; 3+ years in primary backend language (TypeScript, Python, or Ruby on Rails).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience shipping and measuring LLM-powered features in production.
- Proficiency with API design, webhooks (authentication, signature verification), AWS services (ECS, S3, IAM), Docker, production ownership (monitoring, alerting, incident response).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in backend service design and ownership, comfortable managing complex multi-step workflows and APIs integrating with AI and automation platforms.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business processes into clear technical designs and implement reliability, idempotency, and concurrency controls at scale.
- Proven record in mentoring engineers, conducting design/code reviews, and leading cross-functional delivery of new AI-driven automation features in production environments.
