About This Role
- Develop and deliver routing protocol software for Arista's Extensible Operating System (EOS) used in large data center networks.
- Own projects end-to-end including specification writing, coding (C, C++, Python), automated test creation, debugging, and deployment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to triage and fix network-related software issues and mentor junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience in software development.
- Degree in BE/B.Tech, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering.
- Proficient in C or C++, and knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Understanding of IP networking and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, or PIM).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in design and development of IP routing protocol or distributed systems software for enterprise/service provider network equipment.
- Capable of independently designing and implementing small-sized solutions with minimal oversight.
- Familiar with software engineering principles and able to participate effectively in small teams solving medium-sized problems.
