About This Role
- Lead small to medium data platform initiatives end to end, from design through production deployment and operation.
- Design and deliver self-service onboarding for data sources, pipelines with governance, access controls, and data quality embedded as code.
- Set and monitor SLOs, quality checks, cost controls, and provide clear documentation and support to internal engineering teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience designing, shipping, and operating meaningful internal data platform or infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong data engineering fundamentals including batch/streaming ingestion, CDC, data modelling, and pipeline correctness.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for production code, APIs, and pipelines.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent), CI/CD, IAM, and data governance practices including PII masking and access controls.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing production-grade data platforms for internal engineering teams with measurable impact on platform adoption.
- Comfortable operating in multi-region cloud environments (GCP preferred) and working with compliance and governance constraints.
- Able to use AI-assisted development tools judiciously and enable AI tooling for engineering productivity.
