About This Role
- Implement and oversee AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, and customer due diligence across APJ region ensuring alignment with global and local regulatory standards.
- Manage regulatory governance including licence oversight, regulatory change implementation, and engagement with local authorities.
- Lead compliance risk management activities such as risk assessments, monitoring, breach management, training delivery, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification desirable.
- About 5 years compliance experience in regulated financial services with multi-jurisdictional APJ exposure.
- Strong practical knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC/CDD/EDD, beneficial ownership, PEP controls, and suspicious activity reporting.
- Hybrid work requirement: average 2 days per week from HPE office in APJ region.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in implementing regional compliance frameworks balancing global standards and local regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions in APJ.
- Demonstrates strong regulatory judgement and ability to provide independent challenge with practical translation of requirements into controls and procedures.
- Capable of influencing senior leadership and working effectively within a matrix organization and diverse APJ cultures.
