About This Role
- Lead engineering for a multi-year modernization and migration of middle-office applications to AWS, focusing on backend Java microservices and DevOps pipelines.
- Develop and maintain full-stack production code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code, while applying AI tools daily to accelerate delivery.
- Establish AI-augmented delivery processes ensuring compliance with risk and governance standards, and build and lead a permanent full-stack engineering team.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years software engineering experience; 5+ years leading modernization or cloud migration teams.
- Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA, REST APIs, Kafka/IBM MQ messaging, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in DevOps tools: CI/CD (Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes/ECS/EKS.
- Hands-on AWS knowledge (compute, networking, IAM, managed services), Oracle and SQL databases, experience with AI coding assistants, and regulated financial services environment experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading engineering teams delivering complex cloud modernization in regulated financial services.
- Comfortable with hands-on coding, code review, technical leadership, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Practically uses AI tools to improve software delivery efficiency, including automated code generation, testing, and legacy code migration.
