About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end UI and API test suites for migrating and modernizing middle-office applications on AWS.
- Develop scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or WebdriverIO with modern patterns; implement reliable, fast, and cross-browser test execution in CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead automation in migration validation including parallel-run data comparisons, performance testing, and running tests as quality gates to reduce defects and support cutover sign-off.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years in test automation or software engineering in test.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one UI automation framework among Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or WebdriverIO, plus programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Java.
- Experience automating REST API tests (using REST Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman or similar) and running tests in CI/CD pipelines (Harness, GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
- Work Experience Required: 5+ years in test automation or software engineering in test.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven capability in implementing and scaling UI and API test automation in complex, multi-application modernization programs, preferably within financial services domain.
- Hands-on experience with testing modern ReactJS applications including event-driven features (WebSocket/SSE), contract testing, and performance/load testing.
- Experience using AI coding assistants for test automation and maintaining low flaky-test rates with fast feedback in agile CI/CD environments.
